Nice quality phone for people with poor eyesight and that are partially deaf, not just for the elderly., 28 Nov. 2015

This is a really nice phone for partially deaf and people with eyesight problems, it is not the top technology but then not every one wants a fancy ‘do everything’ phone. I just wanted a phone that I could text or ring on. This does a few more things though.

I have glaucoma and my eyesight is ok but not brilliant and have to put glasses on to text and read text messages, but I didnt with this one I could make out the keys and read a text glasses free, although my neighbour who has it worse than me had to use his glasses. But he is partially deaf and he could have a conversion on it no problem, but it was up loud about setting 12 and it goes higher.

The texting is relatively easy once you get the hang of using this type of phone. I still find it a bit tedious but I’m getting faster as I learn how to text with it, it isn’t predictive text but seems similar as if you want to type THE you have to use the arrows to the correct letter.

The best features for me besides the easy to see big text and big buttons is the torch or flash light, that comes in handy if walking to the car and there is no lamp post etc near it. There is an FM radio but I didn’t bother with that as I don’t listen to the radio. The video recorder is good and didnt expect to find anything like that on a phone like this, the camera is ok, it has dc mode and dv mode you can choose the size of your pictures from 240 x 320 right up to 1600 x 1200. There is night mode, you can alter the brightness, contrast etc. You can use frameless or add a frame. There is automatic, sunny day, cloudy day, white balance etc. Normal or 3s or 10s delay. Normal, B&W, blue tint, negative etc.

There is an Audio player and a voice recorder, a Video recorder and video player, which are all in the multimedia section.

    The top 4 buttons are….
There is a love heart button where you can store all your top phone numbers that you text or ring so you don’t have to keep looking in your contacts for.
The SOS button you can store phone numbers and a recorded message to get help quickly.
There is the music symbol button which takes you straight to your audio player, to play any music you have stored on either the an sd card or phone.
Then there is the light bulb button which is your torch. Press and hold down till the light comes on and press once to turn back off, you can flip the phone closed after switching it on as it still works as a flash light/ torch when closed.

The keys light up so you can see in dim light or darkness to text or ring etc.

The instructions that come with it are not bad if you can see the words to read them, but I played about with it until I got used to it.

In the tools settings there is a magnifer, alarm, calculator, calendar, memo, stopwatch, one key max volume etc.
In Multimedia there is Camera, Image viewer, Video Recorder, Video player, Audio Player, Record, FM Radio, My files folder, Internet.
In Messaging there is Inbox, Outbox, Write message, Drafts.
In Call logs there is, Missed calls, Dialled calls, Recieved calls, Delete all calls (calllog which is the first mistake of 2 that I found) and call timer.
In Phone book is where all your contacts are.
In Profiles there is Normal, silent, vibrate mode, indoor mode, outdoor mode.
In Settings there is phone settings, SOS setting, Display, Security, Call settings, TTS Audio Setting (this is where I found the second mistake, instead of saying Dialling it says Dailing), Friend numbers, STK.

I like that the clock can either be 12 hour or 24 hour.

I really like this phone and the more I use and learn to use it, the more I am happy with it, I did test this at the side of another one which my friend got from her mobile phone company and even though they both had good points and not so good, we did prefer this more for the extra features that the other one did not have, like the audio player, video player etc. This one is good value at under £33 at the moment and I would purchase at this price. Also we noticed the battery lasted for a lot longer than my friends did, this one lasted 2 days for just normal phone calls and texting where as her lasted less than a day. It also has dual sim capabilities.

I was sent out a sample to test out and review and between myself with poor eye sight and my partially deaf friend we would definitely recommend this phone.
