Perfect cordless phone for the style conscious older person,
5 levels of volume plus an audio booster means that phone conversations are crystal clear( no matter how much the teenager on the other end mumbles). It has a large variety of ring tones which are easy to set and you can have different sounds for internal and external calls. The battery life is excellent and the phone can be left off the base for days before it needs to be recharged.
Totally delighted!

|High quality phones that are Hearing Aid Compatible,
Customer Video Review Length:: 0:51 Mins
These are high-quality phones, sound is clear and they are easy to hold, with big buttons and they feel nice in the hand; as you can see they are bigger than a typical DECT handset, I’ve shown a Panasonic handset as a comparison. They are Hearing Aid Compatible, i.e. the “T” setting, but they are very clear and can be made louder than normal phones if needed, and can be used by all members of a family.
There are a choice of ring tones for the handset and base, these can be made very loud, incoming calls also light the display. There are volume controls for the audio on the right hand side of the phone and also an audio boost on the left, this lights the LED on the phone as a warning as it is very loud, it resets when the call is ended; there is also a speakerphone. Handsets can also be put into silent mode.
There are 2 direct dial keys, M1 and M2, which dial directly on a press and hold. There is a 20 name/ number phonebook and incoming callers can have their own ring-tone if you subscribe to caller display.
The handsets can be programmed to answer a call when they are removed from the charger.
When the units are placed on the charging-base they emit a tone and the display lights to show they charging, they won’t fit on the base upside down (something my mother constantly did with another make!) If you need to find the handsets you can page them from the base unit.
Overall nice phones, useable by all and with features that make them ideal for anyone with hearing loss or who wears a hearing aid.

|Doro phoneEasy 100W,
First I had to help her with the phone set up because she could not see the instructions on the phone screen face to find the different functions, the letters and numbers are hard to distinguish, this also makes it almost impossible for her to check the number she inputting as she goes along.
Though the number buttons are large and clear there is not enough clarity made to identify the green on button and red off button for someone with poor sight.
The incoming ring sound is not really loud enough even on the highest level.
The speech sound is excellent especially when the sound booster is used, though the button for this on the side of the phone is a bit fiddly to use for someone in their 90’s.
Overall the Doro is better than a regular phone but there could be lots more improvements made to it to make it more user friendly.
