    1. Speaker phone not loud enough.
    2. Only three Duracell AA Batteries don’t last more than three days, unfortunately the phone doesn’t come with an AC adapter.
    3. Takes longer than other telephones to dial a number although it is saved.
    4. Although it is called a desktop telephone, the LCD screen is not tilted enough to see the screen clearly.
    5. The mic is placed in an awkard place (under the front panel of the phone) meaning that you have to shout very loud if you want to use the speaker phone.
This is not a business telephone, I Won’t even recommend to a everyday user-It is a toy compared to the BT In Touch 2000C (which is made for residential use and is more than 5 years old)
I wish I could get my money back from the company.

    Doro Audioline AUB 300i, 29 Aug. 2009

We needed a phone that would work on a normal BT line and dispense with the need for a phone book nearby. The AUB 300i is just such a phone. It allows you to load 16 one-touch numbers, with a card for names in clear view; it also allows for another 20 numbers to be stored in an easy to use, highly visual directory. The one-touch numbers are defined by the name you write on the card – happily the card is big enough to write names (in pencil in case they move)and read them without glasses. The extra 20 numbers are just as easily accessed by touching one button and then by using the up or down arrows to scroll to the selected name on the liquid crystal display. The ring tones and ring volume are adjustable, in our case by trial and error, enabling you to have a soft but clear ring tone in your home, or a strident, loud ring that you can hear outside. We tested the ‘hands-free’ operation with one of the family and conversation was loud and clear enough for both parties without lifting the handset. What we liked best: the simplicity of setting up all 36 names and phone numbers, as well as the cleaar liquid crystal diplay. What we liked least: we had no written guide telling us how to adjust ring tones and volumes, but it didn’t take us long to adjust for our tastes by sending “missed calls” from a mobile. Overall, the AUB 300i is very good value for money.

I had an Audioline office phone with off hook dialling for 15 years. It was very reliable until recently, so I looked for a replacement.
The replacement the AUB300i was very similar but now produced by a company called Doro…..

The first phone arrived. The handset didn’t work – you could hear the other caller but they couldn’t hear you. I tried the monitor button and off hook dialling, that worked but no one could hear me speak through the handset… I went to the website […] supplied on the info sheet that came with the phone. The site didn’t work…. I googled them and got a different phone number to the 0905 number on the info sheet, they said they’d see if they could send out another replacement and would call me back. I waited and waited. They never called and so I called them. They only had a black phone so they advised me to then call head office and sort out returning it – did that – waste of time told to go back to Amazon…

Amazon brilliantly sent out a replacement special delivery for free it arrived the next morning. I plugged it in and heard a dial tone. Result! Then I tried the monitor button… silence no dial tone. I picked up the receiver beeeeeeeeeeeep… I went round the neighbours and tried it there.. beeeeeeeeeep! Bizarrely the monitor button didn’t work on this one.

SO ALL IN ALL A COMPLETE AND UTTER WASTE OF TIME.
